Introduction: Meishan Dragon Palace is a national-level scenic spot and a national AAAA-level tourist area ...
The Meishan Dragon Palace is connected to the Jiulong Peak and Jiulong Lake in Big Bear Mountain. According to legend, Huang Di ascended the Bear Mountain, turning the peak of Jiulong in the lush green cage into nine blue dragons, and swimming along the Jiuquan Qingquan into the Jiulong Pool that can lead to five lakes and four seas. Jiuzhuo Qinglong swims into the water and is attracted by the scenery and aura of Meishan Youxi Dizhu Bay. He is happy to swim in the water, fly in the clouds, and dance in the cave. He does not want to leave for a long time. The descendants of the ancient name of Xinhua Meishan called this cave the Meishan Dragon Palace.

Meishan Dragon Palace is a layered space structure, with unique shapes of caves, various combinations, and water and land. It has four floors of caves and eight floors of tunnels. The total length of the tunnel is 2276.1 meters. The underground river is 854.5 meters long, the upper dry cave is 1076.4 meters long, the collapse hall is 225.2 meters long, and the branch cave is 120.0 meters long. Tunnel width is generally 6-20 meters, height

20-100 meters. The total area of the bottom of the cave is 22,000 square meters.

From the underground river to the upper corridor, from the spacious hall to the staggered small hall, from the flat walkway of the main cave to the zigzag plank path of the cave wall, the height of the bottom is changeable and bizarre, and the characteristics of the hierarchical spatial structure are very prominent.

The landscape inside the cave is rich and colorful, with not only a large number of well-developed, widely-distributed landscapes of flowing stones, but also beautiful stalagmites and stalactites; and the ever-changing cross-section and eclipse landscapes.

The cave is safe and reliable. Experts have verified that the cave itself has been adjusted naturally for hundreds of thousands of years. Except for the collapsed hall (which is not open for the time being), the top of the cave has reached thick rock parts with reliable mechanical strength. At the same time, the cave is well ventilated and the air is fresh. Professor Zhu Xuewen, chairman of the Chinese Cave Research Association, evaluated the cave as "the first cave in Hunan, the first in China, and the advanced in the world."

At present, the tourist route has been developed with a length of 1455.3 meters. There are seven scenic spots including Jiulongji Bin, Qunlong Xiaotao, Bishuilian Palace, Jiulongyoutian, Heavenly Dragon Palace, Heaven Pavilion, and Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang. The whole tour takes about 90-100 minutes.
